Cash or Canada debit only, if you have US dollar, they can accept it 1:1 Canada dollar. A lot of Chinese dessert options. Price is reasonable.

This bakery is amazing! Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. I tried the sausage bun with cheese and the ham and garlic bread both were wonderful. The place was also very clean, and each item was individually packed. Highly recommend! They only accept debit or cash.

Best Chinese bakery around. Items are huge and tasty. They do not scrimp on ingredients. Chicken bun has huge pieces of chicken not the chicken mush other bakery use. Coconut bun has lots of coconut throughout not just sprinkle on top. Can’t wait to try others. Came again and not disappointed with chicken bun with big pieces of chicken

Egg tarts were the highlight here at $2.25 and a larger than usual size. Very delicious and well made with great egg texture + flavour. It gets rather busy here being by the Mall and in front of a bus stop. The buns here are around mid $2ish as well and decently made. I would definitely come back here to grab some more baked goods. The Hong Kong milk tea though was not the best experience...overly sweet (pre-made in the fridge) at $3.50. Service here was very quick to check you out. They also serve quick meals here. No seating inside...just an order and go kind of spot. It's a cash or debit card spot only.

Loved Kam Do Bakery. Everything was perfect - especially the purple taro and yellow pineapple with salted egg yolk pastries. We finished the whole box in less than 24 hours.

Dec 30, 2025 - This bakery is a classic Hong Kong-style spot offering all the familiar Cantonese favourites-pineapple buns, BBQ pork buns, cocktail buns, and more. Just be aware that if you arrive later in the day, many of the popular items may already be sold out. Because the shop is located right beside a bus stop, the entrance can get crowded, especially when people take shelter from the rain or wind. On my visit, the cake selection was quite limited, so if you’re planning to buy a cake, it’s best to pre‑order in advance. Overall, the buns are good, but the prices have definitely been creeping up. $2.40 for a pineapple bun but it's still a better value than other bakeries in Richmond. Plenty of parking at Richmond Centre if you're driving here. This review is for the location beside Richmond Centre.
